Importance of Work Experience in Your Profile

1. In your RateCards profile, head to the Experience tab.
2. Under the Experience tab, you’ll see a list of items:
   1. Skills — Minimum 10+
   2. Work Bio — Minimum 500 characters (2-3 paragraphs preferred)
   3. Years of Experience — Any amount
   4. Languages — Primary language plus other Native languages
   5. Time Zone — Where you live

If you’ve used LinkedIn, feel free to import the information you have on that profile to your RateCards profile.

Artificial Intelligence is used to match attributes in your profile with job seekers. Thus, for your benefit, it’s important in add as many relevant skills as possible, detailed work bio over 500 characters, languages you speak, and more. As AI advances we’re pushing to improve the matching critiera and ranking order so worker (and employers) are both happy with the outcomes they get.

Detailed ‘Work Bio’ 

Work Bio — Minimum 500 characters (2-3 paragraphs preferred)

Writing a complelling and detailed work bio improves the probability of getting hired. It improves not only the AI but also the human reviewer of your profile. It gives both of them good reasons to consider you for work.

If you find it difficult to write a ‘Work Bio’, we’ve found that using one of the many AI writing tools (eg/ Grok, ChatGPT, or Perplexity) can be helpful. Simply start with some of your work experiences then ask it to generate 3 compelling paragraphs about your work experiences. You’ll likely need to re-read and edit a few times but it makes it much easier and better.
